One more state-owned company being established in Ukraine
Following the experience of Russia, where a large state-owned grain market operator was established, Ukraine also declared the intentions to create a state owned company. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy reportedly drafted a proper government resolution. At the moment, the draft is passing through the approval process in other ministries and departments.
The company will supposedly include part of the assets of the State Reserves Committee, Agrarian Fund and the state-owned company Khlib Ukrainy putting them into a single entity. According to Ag Minister Yuriy Melnyk, the company Grain of Ukraine will become a government grain exporter. The Minister estimates that the state-owned company will be able to export roughly 1-2 MMT of grain.
