Oil production 5% up in July - State Statistics Service
Ukraine reduced the production of crude oil in July 2012 by 5% or 10,000 tons, compared with July 2011, to 195,000 tons, according to the State Statistics Service.
In comparison with June 2012, the rate of oil production increased by 4.5% or 5,000 tons.
In January-July 2012, Ukraine produced 1.358 million tons of oil, which is 5.1% less than in 2011.
The production of associated gas in July 2012 was 62.6 million cubic meters, which is the same as in July 2011. Compared with June 2012, production volumes increased by 7% (58.9 million cubic meters).
Since the beginning of 2012, Ukraine has produced 424 million cubic meters of associated gas, which is 2.1% more than in seven months of 2011.
In 2011, oil production in Ukraine amounted to 2.424 million tons, which is 5.9% lower than in January-December 2010. The production of associated gas stood at 721 million cubic meters, which exceeded the production volume of 2010 by 9.6%.
