Odesa seaport development program till 2015 approved
The Transport and Communications Ministry approved a program for development of the Odesa commercial seaport terminal till 2015.
Attraction of foreign investments for development of production capacities of the enterprise is among the main trends of the program realization.
According to the document, till 2015, the port capacities are envisaged to be brought to 62.500 million tons.
The program presents feasibility studies of 11 projects of the Odesa seaport development, planned for realization in the nearest future, as well as four programs that will ensure environmental safety of the port, saving of the energy resources, renewal of the fleet and the crane economy.
Over the designated period, it is envisaged, in particular, to realize an investment development project of the Quarantine pier - construction of a container terminal of 600,000 TEU a year. Total investments into a project make up UAH 3.852 billion (USD 1/UAH 7.98).
