Nearly 90% of winter crops in good condition
The condition of 88.3% of winter crops sown on 8.646 million hectares is good and satisfactory, the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry has reported.
According to the State Statistics Committee, Ukraine sowed 9.786 million hectares with winter crops for this year's harvest, or 1.8% up than in 2007, including 8.254 million hectares with winter grain crops (3.5% up). The area under winter rapeseed totals 1.44 million hectares.
