Mykola Azarov promises that government would not introduce restrictions on grain exports
The Government does not intend to introduce any restrictions on grain exports in the current marketing year. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov assured the farmers on this at a meeting with representatives of NGOs working in agriculture of Ukraine on July 3, 2012.
"Despite droughty autumn and frosty winter, we expect a good harvest and have no plans to introduce any restrictions that we had to enter in 2010. I speak frankly. The Government directs the advance of our farmers that no obstacles in terms of exports will not be created ", - said Mykola Azarov, adding that the Government looks forward to continuing and strengthening good position to export grain. Head of Government stressed that the current year difficult for agricultural production, but in general usual for the past decade and there are no unknown risks.
The Prime Minister also noted that the previous marketing year Ukraine exported over 23 million tons of grain.
