Mriya announced its financial and operational results for the 9M 2011

Kyiv, November 21, 2011 — Mriya Agro Holding (MAYA GR) supporting the practices of regular reporting and transparency announced its audited financial and operational results for 9M 2011 ended September 30, 2011.

Key highlights:

  • Revenues surged 2.3x times y/y to USD 111.9 mln due to the favorable market conditions, fostering sales of agricultural products
  • Total revenues (including net gain on change in fair value of biological assets) grew by 23% y/y to USD 251.4 mln
  • 9M 2011 EBITDA remained stable at USD 146.7 mln
  • LTM EBITDA comprised USD 159.7 mln
  • Short-term deposits increased 64% y/y to USD 118.3 mln
  • Cash on the balance reached USD 73.7 mln

Having completed harvesting campaign on 240 thousand hectares, Company can boast good harvest. As usual Mriya maintains high quality of its products via controlling each step of its operations and working according to the approved plans.

Preparing for the next year, Mriya used part of its land to plant winter crops. In line with crop rotation plans Mriya planted 140 thousand hectares with winter wheat and 40 thousand hectares with winter rapeseed. At the moment, agronomists estimate crops condition as “good”. The rest of the land is prepared for the next season with necessary operations carried out.

Commenting on the operational results of the 9M 2011, Mykola Guta, Chief Executive Officer of Mriya, said: “I am fully satisfied with the Mriya’s work during the harvesting campaign and sowing campaign for winter crops. Our company is developing gradually, maintaining the quality of products and improving all operations. I believe that good harvest and proper organization will transform into strong financial results for the full year.”

Commenting on the financial results of the 9M 2011, Andriy Buryak, Chief Financial Officer of Mriya, added: “We were selling actively during the last months, and I am sure that recent changes of export regulation in Ukraine should have a positive influence on commodity pricing. Cooperation with a number of companies should ensure the necessary cash flow as well as boost our sales in general. We will maintain a conservative approach in our cash management, thoroughly preparing our budgets for the next year and prioritizing our expenses.”
