Moldova produced over 1 mln tonnes of grains
In the current year Moldova produced 1.094 mln tonnes of grains and leguminous crops, declared Vasile Bumakov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova.
According to him, the average yield totaled 27 c/ha. Agrarians produced over 800 thsd tonnes of wheat, including high-gluten wheat, which formed over half of the harvested volumes.
Coming of new agricultural machinery caused the increase of grain yield indices, which significantly reduced grain losses. Also in the current year, agrarians had the better conditions for storing of the harvest, said V.Bumakov.
