Ministry of Agriculture of Russia to support Russian grain exports
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation covers the ground of supporting of Russian grain exports, declared Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture of Russia. As a reminder, according to experts, the state support of exports will assist stabilizing of grain prices on the domestic market.
To date, the Ministry is completely ready to provide grain interventions, and plans to begin the operations in the nearest future, marked E.Skrynnik.
The main task of grain interventions is not the total purchasing of produced grains at high prices, but point removal of grain surpluses from the market, according to the Minister. The government purchases grains from agricultural commodity producers at market prices through exchange trading. The government declared own purchasing prices at the end of March 2009, and did not plan to change the index.
