Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine forecasts the present year harvest at the level of 2009 results
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine forecasts the present year grain production reaching the previous year harvest results, declared Eugene Lavrov, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, on June 16.
According to him, the Ministry and the Academy of agrarian sciences forecast that the level of grain production will reach the previous year indices and total 50-52 mln tonnes.
As a reminder, at the beginning of June, Nikolay Prysiaghniuk, the Minister of Agrarian Policy, declared that the Ministry forecasted grain harvest volumes in the current year at the level of 46-47 mln tonnes.
According to data of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in 2009, Ukraine produced 46 mln tonnes of grains in clean weight, including 22.3 mln tonnes of milling grains (48%), 23.7 mln tonnes of feed grains (52%).
