Milk production 12% down to 1,063,300 MT in September
In September, milk production fell by 12% or 144,700 MT compared with August, to 1,063,300 MT, the State Statistics Committee has informed.
In particular, milk production fell by 11.3% or 112,100 MT to 879,900 MT at private farms, and by 15.1% or 32,600 MT to 183,400 MT at agricultural enterprises.
In September 2009, milk production fell by 2.1% or 22,300 MT, compared with September 2008.
In January-September 2009, milk production made up 9,221,500 MT against 9,326,900 MT in January-September 2008.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in August milk production fell by 6.1% or 77,900 MT compared to July, to 1,208,000 MT.
