Kherson watermelons in demand not only in Ukraine, but also abroad
This summer, most of them are sold in Estonia, and last year about 8 tons of watermelons were exported to 14 countries. Among them — Germany, Britain, France, Sweden. Export of Ukrainian watermelons to these countries confirms good quality of products, said Deputy Director of Agricultural development department of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andriy Nedelko, NRCU reports.
As to the information that in Kherson watermelons increased nitrate levels have been allegedly found, Andriy Nedelko, said that traders sell as «Kherson watermelons» watermelons that are grown in other regions and outside Ukraine, particularly in Turkey and Uzbekistan.
