Kazakhstan: as of June 1, grain carry-over stocks totaled 4.85 mln tonnes
During January-May of 2011 agricultural production volumes in Kazakhstan increased by 1.6%, informed the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The gross production of commodities and services of the agricultural industry in Kazakhstan totaled 328.56 bln KAZ (2254.27 mln USD), including plant growing production – 6.047 bln KAZ (41.49 mln USD).
According to the Agency, as of June 1, 2011, grain stocks in Kazakhstan totaled 4.85 mln tonnes, including 4.5 mln tonnes of wheat, 221.7 thsd tonnes of barley, 44.3 thsd tonnes of rice, 23.4 thsd tonnes of oats, 14.3 thsd tonnes of rye, 7.5 thsd tonnes of maize.
