In the second half year of 2011, Russia will export nearly 10 mln tonnes of grains, according to the monitoring of the Ministry of Economic Development on the results of social and economic development within 6 months of 2011.
In July 2011, the volume of grain exports is estimated at the level of 1.7-1.8 mln tonnes.
On July 1, 2011, Russia resumed the exports of grains. On August 15 last year, the Government of the Russian Federation imposed the grain export ban, due to the fact that the country lost nearly a third of the crop in the drought terms.
According to the forecast of Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, only in the current agricultural year (July 2011 - June 2012.) grain exports can reach the level of 20 mln tonnes.
