According to the General Director of the association, in February, sunflower seed exports from Ukraine totaled 4 thsd tonnes, as opposed to 149 thsd tonnes in February of the last year.

According to S.Kapshuk, in the current MY, soybean exports from Ukraine will total nearly 300 thsd tonnes, the production volumes – 1.04 mln tonnes.

The director of the association also confirmed the previous forecast of sunflower oil export volumes in 2009/10 MY at the level of nearly 3 mln tonnes.

According to him, during the first 6 months of the current MY, Ukrainian enterprises processed 3.5 mln tonnes of sunflower seed and produced 1.5 mln tonnes of sunflower oil.
