Imports decrease by 48%, exports by 40% in Q1
According to the State Statistics Committee, foreign trade credit balance of Ukraine decreased 3.5-fold year-on-year to USD 1.442bn. Exports decreased by 39.6% to USD 8.337bn, imports by 48.1% to USD 9.78bn. Ukraine conducted foreign trade operations with 189 countries. Exports to the CIS States accounted for 33.7% of the total exports (including 19% to Russia), to Asia for 30.4%, to Europe for 26.6% (including to EU for 24.7%). The share of the CIS States of the total imports to Ukraine accounted for 45.3% (Russia 20.5%), of Europe for 30.3% (EU 30.2%), of Asia for 13.8%, and of America for 5.8%.
