Harvest campaign begins in Ukraine
The harvest of early grain crops has started in Crimea (South Ukraine).
Crimean farmers are planning to thresh at least 1.5 million tons of grain. The demand for grain and its prices are expected to grow this year.
Ukraine sowed early grain and leguminous crops on 7.649 million hectares (103% of the target).
Winter crops were sown on 9.786 million hectares, including 8.254 million hectares sown with grain winter crops.
