Grain Union of Kazakhstan forecasts decrease of flour prices

The Grain Union of Kazakhstan forecasts decrease of flour prices at the end of May 2011.

In April 20, Nurlan Tleubayev, Head of the Union, informed that despite the fact that the neighbors - Russia and Ukraine – imposed grain export limitations, the Government of Kazakhstan in August 2010 did not surrender to panic and did not introduce any restrictive measures, such as a ban (for export) and quotas. 8 months have passed, the traditional importers received all the required volumes.

According to N.Tleubayev, the country kept the price level. Over the last 30 days the price of 3-grade wheat lowered from the level of 55 thsd KAZ/t (378.2 USD/t) to the current level of 45 thsd KAZ/t (309.4 USD/t). In 45 days wheat volumes will come to the plants, which will begin to decrease the price of flour. That is why, after May 20 the price of flour will begin lowering.
