Grain reserve 20.9 million tons
Ukraine's agricultural enterprises (except for small-scale) dealing with the storage and processing of grain crops had 20.9 million tons grain as of December 1 (13% down on December 1, 2008), including 9.4 million tons of wheat, 4.6 million tons of barley, 4.7 million tons of corn, and 0.8 million tons of rye, the State Statistics Committee reported.
10.5 million tons of grain (21% less than last year) was kept directly at agricultural enterprises.
The enterprises dealing with the storage and processing of grain had 10.4 million tons (3% less than by December 1, 2008), including 7.4 million tons (0.4% more) at storages.
The reserve of sunflower seeds by December 1, 2009 totaled 4.7 million tons.
