Grain harvest in Russia to exceed the level of 95-97 mln tonnes
In 2009, grain harvest in Russia will exceed the level of 95-97 mln tonnes, declared Viktor Zubkov, the first Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the prognostic index became higher by nearly 15% compared to the average five-year indices.
According to the Vice-Premier, the intervention fund stocks 8 mln tonnes of grains of the harvest-2008, and 150 thsd tonnes of the harvest 2005. That is why, United grain company, founded for regulation of the grain market of the Russian Federation, received the task to sell the mentioned grain volumes from the state intervention fund.
