Government, traders to prolong grain memo
The Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine and grain traders are planning to prolong the memorandum of understanding on the export of grain for the 2013/2014 marketing year.
Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said this during a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the press service of the ministry reported.
"We have already found an effective form of cooperation with commercial entities in the grain market, particularly on the exports. Therefore, in the coming months we are planning to sign a memorandum of understanding for the 2013/14 MY. Of course, we will finalize it together with grain traders," the minister said.
The meeting also covered a number of legal aspects related to the grain market, quality and safety of food products, special tax regimes for export-import operations, the press service says.
