Government of Kazakhstan approved the list of commodities sold through the stock exchange
On April 6, 2011, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted the decree #375 "On approving the list of exchange commodities and the minimum size of the parties that are sold through commodity exchanges”. The corresponding document was published on April 14 in the official press.
According to the decree, the list of commodities that are sold through commodity exchanges, includes wheat and meslin, barley, soybeans, sugar, etc.
The document states that the list does not apply to the state grain resources.
The minimum size of trading lot for wheat, barley and soybeans was set at the level of 600 tonnes.
It is also noted that the public legal entities will start purchasing wheat, barley and other commodities since January 1, 2013.
The decree came into force on April 24, 2011.
