Glencore International may buy stakes in grain producers
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has authorized Swiss company Glencore International AG to buy a number of stakes in Ukrainian grain producers, the antimonopoly committee press service reported.
The company intends to buy stakes in LLC InterAgroInvest (Kyiv region), LLC Butanske (Cherkasy region), LLC Fediukivka-Agro (Cherkasy region), LLC Podil (Cherkasy region), LLC Agro-Nyva (Odesa region), LLC AgroFirm Rosava (Odesa region), LLC Luchanske-2 (Kyiv region), JV Rassvet (Kyiv region), private enterprise Universal (Odesa region), private enterprise Vita-Kolos (Cherkasy region), LLC Chernivchanka-Agro (Vinnytsia region), LLC Kachkovske (Vinnytsia region), LLC AgroFirm Kriazh-Agro-1 (Vinnytsia region), LLC Kriazh&Co (Vinnytsia region) and LLC Mechta (Vinnytsia region), which will bring it 50% of the votes in the top management bodies of the enterprises.
Glencore International AG, which possesses a grain terminal within territorial borders of Illichivsk (Odesa region) was authorized to buy a stake in Urozhaine (Vinnytsia region) and Utro (Vinnytsia region) to have as a result 50% of the votes in the companies' boards.
