Export Duties For Grain Take Effect
Customs duties for export of crops have taken effect.
The relevant law "On introduction of amendments into the Tax Code and on rates of import (export) duties for some types of crops" took effect from July 1. The export duty for wheat is set at the level of 9%, but not less than EUR 17 per ton, barley - 14%, but not less than EUR 23 per ton, maize - 12%, but not less than EUR 20 per ton. From July 1, crops are excluded from the regime of free trade with foreign states. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on May 19, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed the law on introduction of export duties for crops. On June 10, President Viktor Yanukovych signed the law.
