Export of dairy products has dropped by half
In the first quarter of 2016, the income from export of dairy products made up 24.5 mln USD, which is 50% less than in the similar period of the previous year. It is related both with falling of prices on the world market and with decrease of export volume. Most significantly decreased incomes from overseas supplies of milk and concentrated cream, including powder milk. Volume of realization of these products abroad totaled to 9.4 ths t, that is 25% less than the similar indicators of 2015. Exports of milk whey fell down to 4 ths t, and cheeses – to 1.35 ths t.
Import of dairy products in the first quarter in monetary terms totaled to 9.7 mln USD, that is 5.4% higher than last year indicators.Imports of butter has increased quite substantially - in more than 5 times up to 0.5 ths t. Imports of milk and concentrated/non-concentrated creams grew up in nearly twice. Imports of fermented dairy products and dairy products declined by 37% in the first quarter of this year compared with the same period of last year.
