EBRD ready to grant EUR 150-200mn to agricultural sector in 2010
EBRD may grant EUR 150mn (USD 226.13mn) - EUR 200mn to Ukrainian agricultural companies in 2010, Giles Mettetal, EBRD director for agricultural business reports. He says the bank is to grant loans to profit-making companies reporting under international standards. If Ukraine allows sale of agricultural lands, EBRD is ready to finance the development of the land market infrastructure.
In 2009 the bank granted EUR 200mn to agricultural business of Ukraine and the total sum provided to Ukrainian companies during the whole period of cooperation is worth EUR 1bn
