December inflation posts 0.9 percent
Ukraine's inflation in December 2009 totaled 0.9%, Minister of Economy Bohdan Danylyshyn has told the press, UKRINFORM correspondent has reported.
According to him, the year-end inflation has turned to be lower than predicted by international experts. Thus, 'the IMF inflation forecasts were based on the level of 16 percent at end-2009, that of the World Bank - 14 percent. According to the State Statistics Committee, at the end of 2009 we have a figure, which is quite optimistic - 12.3 percents'.
Danylyshyn also supposes that the inflation forecast for 2010 in Ukraine makes 9.7 percent.
