Condition of only 46% total winter rape sown areas is satisfactory
Only 46% total Zhytomyr region winter rape sown areas are in satisfactory condition, reported Myckola Deisan, Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Deputy Chief for Agroindustrial Development. As to Deisan, presently condition of 12,100 ha winter rape (31% total) is good, 17,900 ha (46%) - satisfactory; however, seedlings at 8,900 ha (23%) have been estimated weak. «This year region agrarians have been focused mainly on highly profitable technical crops sown areas enlarging,» admitted Deisan. He made it known Zhytomyr region Agronomic Service constantly controls winter grains/winter rape wintering condition. As to Service data, condition of 136,000 ha winter grains (88% total) is good/satisfactory.
