Cargo turnover of Illichivsk port decreases 12.5% in H1 2009
Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk reduces its freight turnover 12.5%, to 8.273mn tons in H1 2009, against the same period in 2008. Transshipment of automotive equipment and containers fell 82.7% and 67.7% respectively. Transshipment of oil meal rose 50%, vegetable oil by 4.1%, metal by 13.9%, liquefied gas by 13.3%, and ore by 6.6%.
In June 2009, freight turnover fell 28.1%, to 1.128mn tons year on year. Transshipment of bulk liquids decreased 86.6%, general cargoes by 45.3%, and bulked cargoes by 16.9%. Particularly, processing of automotive equipment fell 97.1%, containers by 70.4%. Transshipment of vegetable oils rose thrice, against June 2008.
