Bezuhly: Ukraine not to set quotas on grain exports
Quotas on grain exports will not be set this year due to the low yield of grain crops in Ukraine, Ukrainian Deputy Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Bezuhly has said.
He announced this during his working visit to Odesa region, a UKRINFORM reporter said.
"I want to repeat a statement made by the Ukrainian prime minister last week. The amount of grain produced in this country and last year's ending stocks help provide guarantees to trading companies and agricultural producers that the state will not apply any restrictive measures this year, including quotas and duties on trade in grain crops and their export. The export of all grain crops this year will amount to about 23-25 million tons," the first deputy food minister said.
"It is also unnecessary to expect a rise in prices for flour and bakery products. These prices will remain the same,” he added.
