Belarus-Ukraine trade at $2.35bn in January-October
In January-October 209, the trade between Belarus and Ukraine made up $2.35 billion, which accounts for 53% of the trade in the same period last year, BelTA learnt form the trade and economy group of the Belarusian diplomatic missions in Kyiv.
In January-September Belarusian export to Ukraine exceeded $1.3 billion (51.3%), import $1 billion (54.1%). Belarus had a $301.8mn surplus in trade with Ukraine.
Belarus mainly imports consumer goods of the machinery construction, petrochemical and construction industries, foodstuffs.
Belarus’ major exports to Ukraine are tractors, trucks, potash fertilisers, combine harvesters, ferrous metals, polymers, tyres, fridges, timber products, hosiery, cord fabrics, gas stoves, sugar, fish and other products.
