Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan completing preparation of single customs tariff
Experts are completing the work on preparation of the single customs tariff of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov told reporters.
“Experts suggest unifying 88% of the rates of the single customs tariff,” the Vice-Premier said. The issue will discussed by the Customs Union Commission at a session in Minsk on May 29, he added.
“We need to resolve the remaining disagreements so that the prime ministers could discuss the draft document on the creation of the single customs tariff at a EurAsEC Interstate Council session in June,” Andrei Kobyakov said. Vesting the Customs Union Commission with necessary functions will be on the agenda too.
According to the Vice-Premier, the issues related to the creation of the Customs Union will be also considered by the Union State Council of Ministers at a session in Minsk. The Union State government will highlight the system of measures to redeploy control functions on the Union State external border.
