Belarus almost completed the mass harvesting of grains
Belarus almost completed the mass harvesting campaign of grains. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, as of August 29, agrarians harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of over 2.21 mln ha, or 97.6% of the plan.
All categories of agricultural enterprises in Belarus produced 7.94 mln tonnes of grains, including in agricultural organizations - 7.644 mln tonnes, taking into account buckwheat and millet. The average grain yield in agricultural organizations totaled 34.5 c/ha as opposed to 29.6 c/ha on the same date last year.
According to the latest forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture, in the current year Belarus will produce nearly 8 mln tonnes of grains (excluding maize).
