Aug cattle number down 1.5%, to 5.653 mn heads
Aug 2009 cattle number has declined to 5,652.600 heads (as of Sept 01/09), down 83,500 heads (- 1.5%) against Jul 2009, reported State Statistics Committee.
As to report, Aug 2009 cows number has lowered to 2,865.700 heads (as of Sept 01/09), down 18,900 heads (- 0.7%) against Jul 2009.
As to Committee, within Aug 2009 population individual economies cattle number has grown to 4,003.100 heads (as of Sept 01/09), up 19,100 heads (+ 0.5%) against Jul 2009; specialized agricultural companies cattle number shortened to 1,727.600 heads (as of Sept 01/09), down 24,500 heads (-1.4%) as of Jul 2009.
As to report, Sept 01/09 cattle number is down 210,000 heads (- 3.6%) against Sept 01/08 (incl. specialized agricultural companies cattle number – down 7.1%, population individual economies – down 2%).
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Jul 2009 cattle number had lowered to 5,736.100 heads (as of Aug 01/09), down 61,400 heads (- 1.1%) against Jun 2009.
