The Association of farmers and private landowners of Ukraine claims the Verkhovna Rada to examine and accept the draft law #8163 in the nearest future, declared Nikholay Markevich, President of the Association, on March 23.
According to N.Markevich, it is impossible to realize any systemic reforms in the agrarian sector without the complex support of the domestic agricultural producers from the Government.
Thus, the Association of farmers and private landowners of Ukraine supports the first legislative initiative of the Government in the direction, in particular – the draft law #8163 “On making of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On grains and the market of grains in Ukraine" (concerning grain trading via foreign economic contracts)".
According to N.Markevich, the draft law protects interests of Ukrainian peasants and farmers, but not middlemen and foreign traders, allows to agricultural producers to trade directly with the final consumers. Accepting of the draft law will increase production volumes of grains in the country.
