As of September 9, Ukraine produced 35.3 mln tonnes of grains

As of September 9, 2011, Ukraine produced 35.3 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 11.6 mln ha, or 75% of the forecast, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
According to the announcement, the average yield of grains in the country totaled 30.5 c/ha against 25 c/ha last year.
In particular, agrarians harvested 272 thsd tonnes of maize throughout 57 thsd ha (2% of the forecast). The average yield totaled 47.6 c/ha, as opposed to 38.1 c/ha in 2010.
As of September 9, agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 188 thsd ha (63% of the forecast). The production volumes totaled 215 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 11.4 c/ha against 8.4 c/ha last year. Ukraine harvested millet throughout 128 thsd ha (78% of the forecast) and produced 252 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 19.6 c/ha (in 2010 - 15.4 c/ha).
Ukrainian agrarians continue the harvesting campaign of industrial crops. In particular, as of September 9 Ukraine produced 1.3 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 723 thsd ha (16% of the forecast). The average yield totaled 17.5 c/ha, against 15.2 c/ha in 2010.
Agrarians harvested soybean throughout 113 thsd ha (10% of the forecast), and produced 222 thsd tonnes with the yield of 19.6 c/ha (in 2010 - 13.9 c/ha).
