As of September 28, Ukraine produced 39.5 mln tonnes of grains and leguminous crops

According to operative data, as of September 28, 2011, Ukraine harvested 39.508 mln tonnes of grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 12.4 mln ha or 80% of the forecast. The average yield of crops in the country totaled 31.8 c/ha against 26.2 c/ha last year.
In particular, agrarians harvested 4.27 mln tonnes of maize throughout 790 thsd ha (22% of the forecast). The average yield totaled 54.1 c/ha, as opposed to 40.9 c/ha in 2010.
Agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout the areas of 255 thsd ha (86% of the forecast), and produced 285 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 11.2 c/ha against 8.4 c/ha last year. Ukraine harvested millet throughout 148 thsd ha (91% of the forecast), and produced 290 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 19.5 c/ha (in 2010 - 15.3 c/ha).
As of September 28, Ukraine produced 6.11 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 3.356 mln ha (73%). The average yield totaled 18.2 c/ha, as opposed to 15.5 c/ha in 2010.
Ukrainian agrarians harvested soybean throughout 500 thsd ha (45% of the forecast), and produced 985 thsd tonnes with the yield of 19.7 c/ha (in 2010 - 15.6 c/ha).
