As of July 3, Ukraine produced over 3 mln tonnes of grains
As of July 3, 2012, Ukraine harvested early grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 1.74 mln ha (17% of the forecast), and produced 3.04 mln tonnes of grains (on the same date in 2011 agrarians produced 1.82 mln tonnes) with the average yield of 17.6 c/ha (in 2011 - 28.1 c/ha).
As of the reporting date, 20 regions already started the harvesting campaign.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter barley throughout the areas of 414 thsd ha (55% of the plan), and produced 0.773 mln tonnes of the grain with the average yield of 18.7 c/ha. Ukraine harvested winter wheat throughout 1.05 mln ha (19%), and produced 1.92 mln tonnes of the grain with the yield of 18.2 c/ha.
Agrarians harvested spring barley throughout the areas of 164 thsd ha with the average yield of 13 c/ha, and produced 212 thsd tonnes of the grain.
Agrarians started harvesting spring wheat areas, and as of July 3 already produced 0.7 thsd tonnes. The harvested areas totaled 0.7 thsd ha, the yield - 10 c/ha.
Ukraine harvested peas throughout 98.3 thsd ha (40% of the forecast), and produced 135 thsd tonnes, the yield - 13.8 c/ha.
Agrarians started harvesting rye areas. As of the reporting date, Ukraine produced 1.8 thsd tonnes of the grain with the average yield of 14.2 c/ha.
Agrarians harvested winter rapeseed throughout the areas of 68.4 thsd ha (13% of the forecast), and produced 102 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 15 c/ha.
According to updated data from regions, agrarians have to harvest grains, leguminous crops and rapeseed throughout 10.9 mln ha, including wheat - 5.86 mln ha, barley - 3.47 mln ha, rye - 303 thsd ha, oats - 310 thsd ha, peas - 247 thsd ha.
According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in the current year the production of grains and leguminous crops is expected to reach 45-47 mln tonnes.
