As of December 3, Ukraine produced 45.96 mln tonnes of grains and almost completed the autumn campaign
As of December 3, 2012, Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 14.55 mln ha, or 99% of the forecast. The produced volumes totaled 45.96 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 31.6 c/ha.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on the same date in 2011 agrarians produced 57.09 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 15.17 mln ha with the yield of 37.6 c/ha.
As of the reporting date in 2012, agrarians harvested maize throughout 4.22 mln ha (96%), and already produced 19.58 mln tonnes of the grain, the average yield – 46.4 c/ha.
Also, agrarians harvested 2.36 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout the areas of 1.41 mln ha (99%) with the yield of 16.7 c/ha.
