As of August 1, Ukraine produced 30 mln tonnes of grains
As of August 1, Ukraine harvested grains throughout the areas of over 10.1 mln ha, and produced 30 mln tonnes with the average yield of 29.9 c/ha. The average ratio of milling wheat to feed wheat totaled 60% to 40%, declared Nikolayi Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on August 1.
According to the head of the Ministry, such favorable indices could be found before in 1990 and 2008 only.
As a reminder, in the current year agrarians have to harvest early grains, leguminous crops and rapeseed throughout 12.3 mln ha, including 6773 thsd ha of wheat, 3772 thsd ha of barley, 283 thsd ha of rye, 292 thsd ha of oats, 270 thsd ha of peas and 858 thsd ha of rapeseed.
