Antimonopoly committee develops proposals on price regulation for oil products
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) plans to submit its proposals on regulation of the situation on the oil products market to the Cabinet, AMCU acting head Oleksandr Melnychenko has said.
According to him, the AMCU completes studying the situation on the oil products market and in the nearest future it plans to announce results of those studies. "We will take definite decisions that will touch on concrete economic entities related to possible signs of abuse of a monopoly position or anti-competitive coordinated actions," Melnychenko said adding that a number of relevant proposals were prepared for the government.
He expressed hope that the AMCU proposals will be taken into consideration thanks to which the oil products market will become more transparent and a price formation process will be more predictable.
