Agriculture Ministry: Ukraine will export 20 million tons of grain
Ukraine will export 20 million tons of grain in the 2009/2010 marketing year (July 1, 2009 through July 1, 2010), Deputy Agriculture Minister Serhiy Melnyk has said.
He said that last marketing year, Ukraine had exported 25 million tons of grain, with a harvest of over 46 million tons. "We had a good harvest in the last two years - 53 million tons in 2008 and 46 million tons in 2009. I think that we'll also have a good harvest this year," Melnyk said.
