Agriculture Ministry to Tighten Control over Implementation of State Program by Constituent Entities
Russian Ministry of Agriculture is going to tighten control over implementation of obligations taken by constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The duties relate to meat production increase within the frames of the state program on agriculture development, ITAR-TASS reports.
Elena Srynnik, the Ministry’s Head reported today on necessity of introduction some supplement into the related agreements with the regions, according to which the constituent entities will have to provide full information on fulfillment of their obligations in terms of specific enterprises every month. Apart from that she committed structural subdivisions of Minselkhoz to form the register of agricultural producers who receive budget funds on substitution of interest payments under credits issued fro construction, reconstruction and reequipping of animal breeding complexes.
Pursuant to her words, by the end of the year, the increase of domestic meat production will total to 550 thousand tons. The total increase of slaughter cattle and poultry production shall reach 5.8% or 113 thousand tons as of the end of April 1, 2009.
