Agriculture Ministry to start preparing contracts for grain exports to China from February 15
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will start work on preparing contracts for grain exports to China from February 15, Agrarian Policy Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers.
"From February 15, we will start work on the contract. We will export barley, food and feed wheat, corn," he said.
He, in particular, reminded that the Ukrainian Food Grain Corporation under the contract with the Export-Import Bank of China has received $1.5 billion for forward purchases. The corporation plans to buy under the forward agreement 2 million tons of wheat and buy another 2 million tons on the spot, the minister added.
