Agricultural producers exceed by 7 million tons last years index of grain harvesting
Agricultural enterprises currently have thrashed 32.7 million tons of crops against 25.7 million tons on the same date of the previous year.
The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministrys press service told Ukrinform about this.
Currently, grain crops have been thrashed on the area of 10.6 million ha (96%), 32.7 million tons of grain was thrashed with crop capacity of 30.8 centners/ha (in 2012 - 25.7 centners/ha), the Ministry informs.
As noted, harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops is completed, which are thrashed on the acreage of 10.5 million ha (100% of the forecast), 32.5 million tons of grain is thrashed (in 2012 - 25.2 million tons) with crop capacity of 31.0 centners/ha (in 2012 - 26.0 centners/ha).
Corn was also gathered on the area of 2,000 ha, 8,000 tons was thrashed with crop capacity of 45.1 centners/ha (in 2012 - 28 centners/ha).
At the same time, sunflower seeds were harvested on the area of 351,000 ha (7% of the forecast), 484,000 tons were gathered with crop capacity of 13.8 centners/ha (in 2012 - 10.5 centners/ha).
Soya was thrashed on the acreage of 45,000 ha (3% of the forecast), 80,000 tons were thrashed with crop capacity of 18.0 centners/ha (in 2012 - 41.1 centners/ha).
To remind, according to a forecast of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry, agricultural producers can gather more than 57.1 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
