Agrarian ministry about to restore soil enrichment program
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy initiates allocation of UAH 300 million (USD 1 - UAH 7.99) from the state budget to support agrarians when purchasing mineral fertilizers for spring campaign, deputy minister Serhiy Melnyk has said.
According to him, a draft resolution of the government is now prepared.
Melnyk also said agrarians have already filed applications for 2010 for delivery of 1.2 million tons of fertilizers, while production capacities of domestic enterprises allow to produce around 7 million tons a year.
The ministry officials say the capacity of Ukraine's fertilizer market currently makes around 3 million tons.
