In 2009/10 MY, export volumes of Ukrainian grains total 19.5-20 mln tonnes
According to estimations of Ukrainian agrarian confederation, during January-July period of 2009/10 MY, grain export from Ukraine will total 6 mln tonnes, including 2.6 mln tonnes of wheat, 2 mln tonnes of maize and 1.3 mln tonnes of barley. In the premises, the carry-over stocks of the grains will reach the levels of 2.8 mln tonnes, 1.05 mln tonnes and 1.55 mln tonnes respectively, declared Sergey Stoyanov, the general director of Ukrainian agrarian confederation

Crimean agrarians to increase oilseed production by 60%
In the current year, agricultural economies of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) plan to produce 122.2 thsd tonnes of oilseeds, an increase of 45.5 thsd tonnes (or up 60%) compared to the level of 2009.

Australian wheat stocks increased in January
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) in its wheat stocks and use report released on Feb. 11 indicated an estimated 22.8 million tonnes of wheat was held in stock and the amount of feed grade wheat stored had increased by 985,000 tonnes at the start of January 2010.
