Ukraine. Maize exports decreased by 10% in March

In March 2010 maize exports approximated 500.2 KMT in comparison with 555.5 KMT in February. The maize exports from Ukraine are lower than in March 2009 when it was shipped 1009.2 KMT of maize. Total Maize exports in the current season (July 09-March 10) reached 4 205.8 KMT.

Rain nurtures hopes for Australian wheat

Good rains have put Australia on course for a rise in wheat production, even though farmers look unlikely to raise plantings much √ if at all. Rabobank analysts hiked their forecast for the 2010–11 wheat crop in the southern hemisphere’s largest exporter of the grain by 1.8m tonnes to 21.8m tonnes, putting it in line with last year’s harvest.

Sunflower seed exports increased greatly in March up to 43.3 KMT in comparison with 4.2 KMT in February. But the exports fell by 68% in comparison with March 2009 (135 KMT of sunflower).
