20 Ukrainian sugar plants thermal stations are to be conversed to alternative energy sources
As to Government Portal, as of Aug 13, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food held a meeting on conversion of the domestic sugar plants’ thermal stations to alternative energy sources’ usage; the meeting was chaired by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Igor Shvaika.
Shvaika told that within the season 2014, 20 Ukrainian sugar plants are to switch to the alternative energy sources. As of now, the highest number of the sugar plants’ thermal stations which have already switched on the alternative energy sources are in Vinnytsia region (10) and Poltava region (3).
While speaking at the meeting, Shvaika told that 10 Ukraine sugar plants will be switched on fuel oil, 4 - coal, others - wood, peat and coal dust as well as biological and liquefied gas. «It is important to understand that our country faces the war now, and so we must trust mainly in our own force. The Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food is ready to support in all possible ways the conversion of the Ukrainian sugar pants on the alternative energy sources,» Shvaika said.
