The Ukrainian sea ports will give discounts for foreign liners. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the decision on harbour dues, the Ukrainian government press-service reports.

Ukraine 2009 grain crop at 48.2 million tonnes
Ukraine's farms have almost completed the 2009 grain harvest, threshing 48.2 million tonnes of grain bunker weight as of December 8, UkrAgroConsult agriculture consultancy quoted official data as showing on Wednesday. Ukraine harvested a record 53.3 million tonnes of grain bunker weight in 2008.

Ministry of Finance demands additional fiscal charges from ports
The Ministry of Finance has issued a decree demanding that commercial sea ports of Odessa, Ilyichevsk, Mariupol, Kherson, Nikolayev, Yuzhny, Oktyabrsk, and Delta-Lotsman pay part of their net profit for the nine months of 2009 (to the amount of 75% to 98%) to the state budget.

The company Ukrainian Retail has invested UAH 126mn (EUR 10.59mn USD 15.76mn) in development of the retail chain Brusnytsya, said CEO of the company Aleksey Gessen. 30 new outlets were opened, and the first stage of a distribution centre was put in operation.

Over 87% of winter grain crops in good and satisfactory condition
Winter grain crops in Ukraine were in good condition on 44.4% of the sowing area, or 3.6 million hectares, and in satisfactory condition on 43.3% of the sowing area, or 3.5 million hectares, as of December 3, the press service of the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry has reported.

German farmers send 780,000 tonnes of EU intervention barley
German farmers have offered about 780,000 tonnes of barley into European Union intervention since the new purchasing season started on November 1, German agricultural agency BLE said on Monday. This was up from 703,000 tonnes offered at the beginning of last week. All offers were for barley, no wheat was involved, the BLE said.
