Ukraine. Experts not excluding strengthening of hryvnia by end of this year
The exchange rate of the hryvnia will remain unchanged by the end of this year, or it may strengthen to UAH 7.85/USD 1, an expert from the analytical department at X-Trade Brokers Ukraine, Volodymyr Oleksiuk, said at a press conference at UKRINFORM on Tuesday.

Ukraine harvests 29.5 million tons of grain as of August 31
Ukrainian farmers as of August 31 harvested 29.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops on an area of 11.9 million hectares (81% of the forecast), with an average yield being 24.7 quintals per hectare, the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry has reported.

Over 5 million tons of fresh grain sold on stock exchange
In the course of exchange trading in the grain harvest of 2010, more than 5.1 million tons of grain was sold as of August 27, including on spot terms 1.8 million tons and on the terms of forward 3.3 million tons. Virtually all of the crop was sold under export agreements, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported.

Ukraine planning to increase milk output by 2020
Milk production in Ukraine may grow by 25% by 2020, while almost a third of total milk production is to be exported. Such tasks are foreseen in the state economic program for the development of dairy cattle breeding in Ukraine, which was drafted by the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry.
